Tottenham vs Manchester City Team News

With both Lucas Moura and Richarlison expected to be available for selection, Tottenham Hotspur will be well-equipped to face Manchester City on Sunday. Moura has been out since March due to a tendon injury, while Richarlison has been recovering from an adductor problem.

Even though Pape Sarr is a doubt due to a hip problem, Stellini could hand Pedro Porro a debut after the former Manchester City player was able to complete his transfer from Sporting Lisbon on deadline day.

The arrival of Porro allowed Djed Spence to leave on loan and Matt Doherty to terminate his contract. The latter then joined Atlético Madrid after 71 minutes of the victory over Preston.

After recovering from his injury, Kane is expected to be one of the first-teamers to return. He is targeting the 200th Premier League goal to overtake Jimmy Greaves’ record and become the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer.

During the transfer window, Manchester City made several changes to their backline. One of these was the loan signing of Porto’s Joao Cancelo. He denied that he was unhappy with the situation with Pep Guardiola.

Although Rico Lewis has been in the starting XI, Cancelo lost his place in the team to the 18-year-old. He should get another chance after John Stones got injured during the FA Cup win over Manchester United. Phil Foden was also unavailable due to a foot issue.

According to the manager, Stones will be out for around three to four weeks, while Foden is expected to be back in action in around a month.

The “Pep roulette” may come into play as Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva, and Julian Alvarez are all expected to get recalled. Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez is looking to build on his impressive record against Spurs, which includes seven goals and four assists.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:

Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Porro, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son

Manchester City possible starting lineup:

Ederson; Lewis, Akanji, Laporte, Ake; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish
