West Ham United vs Manchester City
English Premier League
Date: 7 August 2022, Saturday
Kick-off at 16:30 UK / 17:30 CET
Venue: London Stadium (London).
West Ham United, who are currently in the 17th place in The Premier League table and Manchester City FC, sitting at the top of league with 15 games won out of a total of 20 played, will face each other at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.
West Ham play their home games at London’s Olympic stadium which has an estimated 80 000 capacity. For this match they have allocated more tickets but even if every one is sold they will not be able to reach capacity as there is still work being carried out around the stadium which means that it would exceed safety limitations if it went over 70 000 people.
West Ham United vs Manchester City Head-to-head
- West Ham kept Manchester City to a 2-2 draw in the previous meeting in mid-May this year.
- Both teams were on target in four of the previous five head to head encounters.
- Manchester City have won only 17 of the last 54 away clashes against the Hammers.
West Ham United vs Manchester City Prediction
Manchester City are in great form and will be confident of getting three points when they visit West Ham, who have been struggling for form this season. Man City are currently third in the league and have lost just one game so far.
Manchester City have had a very good start to their campaign, winning nine out of ten games so far. They are also in FA Cup action against Middlesbrough on Sunday, which could take its toll on their players come Wednesday night. Still, Manchester City should be too strong for West Ham and get the three points with relative ease.
