On Saturday, August 20, UFC 278 will be broadcast live from Salt Lake City, Utah’s Vivint Arena. The fight for the UFC Welterweight title between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards will serve as the main event.
The preliminary card has four fights at 8 p.m. ET, while the main card features five fights. UFC Fight Pass will broadcast the early preliminary program, which gets under way at six o’clock. The early preliminary program includes a fight between the flyweights A.J. Fletcher and Ange Loosa.
One of the most potential flyweights to enter the scene, Albazi (14-1) is making his second appearance in the UFC. On April 19, 2019, in Brave Cagefighting, Jose Torres was the recipient of his lone defeat through decision. At UFC 257 in January 2021, he defeated Zhalgas Zhumagulov by unanimous decision. We’ll see if Albazi’s talents have changed after a 20-month sabbatical.
Figueiredo (13-4-1) is still striving to compete at the same level as his older brother, Deiveson Figueiredo, the current UFC flyweight champion. Before to the UFC, he won the bantamweight championship in Jungle Fight. He has defeated Daniel Lacerda and Jerome Rivera in his two UFC fights.
