At UFC 269 in Las Vegas, Pena startled Nunes with a submission in the second round of their first encounter.

She will attempt to duplicate the feat at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
A new form of rematch is present in the co-main. In order to win the interim flyweight championship and a certain opportunity to face the champion, Deiveson Figueiredo, Kai Kara France will try to exact revenge on a defeat from 2019.

Brandon Moreno, who is seeking his own brand of atonement, is in his way. With a victory, he would face the champion a fourth time. Both men have won once in their three fights, following a stalemate in the first match.
