Arsenal were never really to find themselves dragged down into the relegation zone squabble, the side’s form back in December saw jitters spring up in the club’s ranks.

Failing to win in over a month, the club found itself in 15th position with serious talk of the club running out of patience with Arteta being given birth to. However, all those qualms have seen quelled with Arsenal going on a five match unbeaten spree.

Up against Manchester United today, a club Arsenal managed to down even in its period of peril, the hosts will be striving a third successive win in the league.

Manchester United’s defeat to Sheffield United showed why any talk of them challenging for the title doesn’t need to be taken seriously. And they’ll be dished out a second defeat on the bounce as Arsenal win today’s outing.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction :

Man Utd were bumped off the top of the Premier League in midweek by local rivals Man City after a shocking 1-2 defeat at the hands of rock-bottom Sheffield Utd at Old Trafford.

They travel to Arsenal here desperate to bounce back, but knowing that defeat could see Man City open up a clear gap at the top of the table.

The Gunners are in fine form having won five of their last six Premier League matches, scoring 14 goals in the process.

Arsenal have had the edge over Man Utd in recent matches between the two sides, winning three of the last four vs the Red Devils, but Mikel Arteta has a few important injury concerns ahead of this particular encounter.

With both teams needing a positive result for different reasons, each could adopt a largely offensive style of play here and as such both teams to score should be considered.

Man City talisman Aguero remains in self-isolation after testing positive for coronavirus, while De Bruyne is expected to remain in the treatment room for at least a month with a hamstring injury.Nathan Ake’s disrupted start to life at the Etihad continues as he struggles to shake off a muscular problem, but the Dutchman would barely have a chance of demoting Ruben Dias or John Stones to the bench in their current form.

Walker recovered from a hip problem to make the bench against West Brom, and the right-back should return against his boyhood club here, meaning that Cancelo could occupy the opposite flank. It would be incredibly harsh to drop Jagielka after his exemplary performance against Man United, but with John Egan returning from suspension, the veteran could be demoted to the substitutes.

It remains to be seen if Kean Bryan will play a part against his former club after he lasted just 53 minutes of Wednesday’s win, so Max Lowe is ready to step in if needed.Enda Stevens, Ben Osborn, Jack Robinson and Oli McBurnie are all expected to miss out through injury, while Burke will hope to have done enough to earn a start at the Etihad.

Sheffield United possible starting lineup:
